We are a global consortium devoted to promoting the use and impact of object-based scientific collections across disciplines, including archaeology, biology, biomedicine, earth and space sciences, technology and others.


LifeWatch will construct and bring into operation the facilities, hardware, software and governance structures for all aspects of biodiversity research.


KeyToNature is developing a range of new, much easier and paper-free identification tools, for use within schools and universities across Europe. They are available on a variety of platforms including laptops and mobile phones and can be tailored to individual requirements. The project mobilizes 14 partners from 11 EU countries, including leading centres in biology, pedagogy, education, and information technology.


J-BON; Japanese Biodiversity Observation Network(日本生物多様性観測ネットワーク)は、日本国内の生態系・生物多様性の研究の推進、観測のネットワーク化、データベースの構築等を通じて、AP-BONやGEO BONと協力して生態系・生物多様性の観測の推進に貢献することを目的とし、2009年に設立されたネットワークです。


We provide a neutral forum in which governments, NGOs, scientists, businesses, local communities, indigenous peoples groups, faith-based organisations and others can work together to forge and implement solutions to environmental challenges.
By facilitating these solutions, IUCN provides governments and institutions at all levels with the impetus to achieve universal goals, including on biodiversity, climate change and sustainable development, which IUCN was instrumental in defining.


The Integrated Publishing Toolkit (IPT) is a free open source software tool written in Java that is used to publish and share biodiversity datasets through the GBIF network.


IPBES is the intergovernmental body which assesses the state of biodiversity and of the ecosystem services it provides to society, in response to requests from decision makers.


Globalization and climate change have an increasing influence on the stability of fragile mountain ecosystems and the livelihoods of mountain people. ICIMOD aims to assist mountain people to understand these changes, adapt to them, and make the most of new opportunities, while addressing upstream-downstream issues.


iBOL's main mission is extending the geographic and taxonomic coverage of the barcode reference library -- Barcode of Life Data Systems (BOLD) -- storing the resulting barcode records, providing community access to the knowledge they represent and creating new devices to ensure global access to this information.
