說明

We collected bee photographs taken by citizens in citizen science program “Hanamaru-Maruhana national census (Bumble bee national census in English).” Bee occurrence data includes 5,503 records of 16 bumble bee species and 380 records of three carpenter bee species.

取樣方法

Species were identified from photographic images, and latitude-longitude data was extracted from GPS data in Exif information of photographs or address in text of e-mail.

研究範圍 We collected bee photographs taken by citizens in citizen science program “Hanamaru-Maruhana national census (Bumble bee national census in English)” in Japan.
品質控管 The consistency of bumble bee species identification by J. Yokoyama was 95% for 15 bumble bee species, and 97.7% for major six species (B. diversus, B. ardens, B. hypocrita, B. ignitus, B. honshuensis, and B. beaticola)
